Butterfly wings of the Morpho-rhetenor species uses reflective color in its wings displaying marvelously colorful patterns, metallic blue above and brown underneath. All insect wings were presumed to be produced by pigmentation however when technology provided magnification of 20,000X the secret of reflective color was revealed. Reflective color cannot be adequately explained by evolutionary principles but is explained adequately by design.
