also called the RNA World Hypothesis is an origin of life theory that claims self-replicating RNA caused protein chains to spontaneously emerge. This theory ignores the problem of DNA information. It also ignores that RNA in extant cells is built by DNA information and not the other way around which causes another chicken or egg problem for the theory.
