A disease caused by a mosquito bites primarily in tropical regions. Infection begins with severe fevers caused by the Malaria parasite. The parasite invades and destroys red blood cells resulting in severe sickness and infections that may lead to death. The disease can be avoided with certain drugs and by preventing mosquito bites.
